Helen Nodding Helps Out Bugs With Mini Bridges

Insect Architecture
What is a bug to do when he wants to cross a gaping crack in the pavement? Helen Nodding created tiny bridges for bugs to help out these little crawlers. Her intricate bridges are made of natural materials and are only temporary constructions, lasting no more then a few days.
She also builds some insect shelters that are truly extraordinary. I’ve never been jealous of an ant - until now.

$2.9 Million Cinema Props The Godfather Mansion From the 1972 Film Goes on Sale

GODFATHER MANSION

Does the word “appeal” go hand-in-hand with real estate? If so, then any “Godfather” fan with a big enough checkbook can snag up the actual Corleone family compound.
The original home used in the 1972 film will cost you a whopping $2.9 million. Pretty cheap, if you ask me, for a prop used in one of the most critically acclaimed films ever. The “Godfather” mansion has a main house with eight bedrooms and an additional four acres of land. The home is located in Staten Island.

Triangular Jungle Shelters V-Houses by Heinz Legler Offer Stunning Views Without Damaging the Land

Triangular Jungle Shelters
Eco-adventurers visiting the jungles for Yelapa, Mexico will soon be able to find refuge in these precarious looking V-Houses designed by Heinz Legler.  Securely planted in the ground, the inverted metal and wood pyramids give a feeling of being in a tree house.
Each of the pre-fabricated units has a floor space measuring 16’ x 16’ and offers spectacular views of the lush tropical jungle environment through openings on all sides.
The V-Houses are eco-friendly having been build with, “sustainable materials, and have incorporated solar panels, composting toilets, and a greywater system,” according to Inhabitat. Due to the shape of the shelters and their pre-fab construction, little disturbance of the land was required as they were more or less spiked into the ground like a giant lawn dart.

Mobile Treehouses Log Cabin Sold for $12,000 in Online Auction

Mobile Treehouses

So you are perusing the internet one day and suddenly you come across this domestic dandy. In an online auction, an Australian bidder bought this mobile treehouse from Alan Jennison, who had previously purchased it from Forestry Tasmania who used it to promote tourism.
The mobile treehouse is not exactly ready to live in yet, but the bidder should be excited to know that termites are quite prevalent down under.

Tree Mansions The Gigantic Treehouse is More like a Dream Come True

Have you ever dreamed of living in the trees high above the ground? I have, but I find that the average treehouse just might not be big enough for me. The gigantic treehouse may just serve me better.
Located in Tennessee, this example architectural topiary wonderment stands at an astounding 97 ft., has 11 floors, and over 8,000 sq. feet. Owner and builder, Horace Burgess built this gigantic treehouse after a prayer vision and says that he built it ‘for God.’

Arboreal Restaurants Okinawa Tree House

Arboreal Restaurants

This tree house restaurant is located on Highway 58 at the entrance of Onoyama Park in the south of Japan. The establishment, called Okinawa Tree House, is perched upon what looks like a real tree. But in reality, the restaurant is atop a man-made concrete structure and the clients have to take an elevator located inside the fake trunk to get to the restaurant.
This is pretty cool and very original and it should be a real treat for adults and kids alike.
